He has 32 years of mining experience. Mr Welthagen is a qualified mining engineer and specialised in mineral economics (MEng (Mining), MPhil Mineral Economics, BCom Hons (Economics)). He was employed at Kloof Gold Mine, Greenside Coal Mine in the Gold Fields Group as Mining Engineer, at the Minerals Bureau of South Africa as mineral economist and as a gold and platinum analyst for a leading stockbroker on the JSE. He is also chairman of Saminco Limited, a mining investment company. He was a founder member of Merafe Resources Ltd (formerly SA Chrome and Alloys Ltd) and Efora Energy Ltd (formerly Sacoil Ltd). |

Prof Jan Kruger (10 years on the board) (Independent Non-executive Director)
Dr Kruger is a full professor at the Unisa School of Businees Leadership ("UNISA SBL"). He has a PhD in Computer Science. He has been a professional investor and equity analyst for many years. He has extensive experience as a consultant and as a lecturer in Mathematics, Operations Research, Finance, Computer Science, Management and Statistics in industry at Universities. He presented 19 conference papers and published 10 research publications on Machine Learning, Data mining and Reliability Theory. He is the co-editor of two first year mathematics text books. Jan did his PhD “Finding the causal structure from the correlation matrix” in Computer Science at Wits. |

Jose Luis Cassola
He is the principle project administrator and co-ordinator at Angola Mineral Ventures ("AMV").
Jose has studied at AIU (Atlantic International University), in U.S. and completed in January 2009 B.Sc. in Geology. He has applied to study towards a Master Degree at Heriot Watt University (Petroleum Eng.) in UK. (Registration number 101637983) in 2010 year.
He has extensive experience in the technical and marketing in the petroleum production
industry and was empoyed at: Baker Hughes Inteq, Halliburton, Nalco-Angola Sales District Representative,
Shlumberger and at present J.Kassola, LDA - as founder member of this company he has been the managing director to date.. |

He has over 11 years experience in Trade, Business and Supply Chain development in FMCG, Agriculture and the extractive industries.
He is owner and managing director of Orisa Enterprises (Pty) Ltd, that draws on it’s deep understanding of the African markets, nuances and psychology. Leveraging on an extensive network and relationship with Governments, Public and Private sector circles across the African continent. Holds a BPhil Hons in Marketing Management and a Diploma in Marketing from the IMM Graduate School of Marketing. He is presently based in Mauritius to, inter alia, attend to the formation of PureDiamonds Ltd (Mauritius) |
